NEW ZEALAND WOOL

Naturally the whitest wool fiber, providing exceptional color depth and clarity when dyed, while offering economy, longevity and well-being. luxurious, durable, naturally elastic and stain-proof. Prized for its softness, warmth and durability, wool, which is also naturally water-repellent and flame retardant, has been used by man for thousands of years. Once collected, the wool is hand-washed, and the long fibres are spun into yarn. Strong, rich in texture and wonderful to walk on, we believe this is the best wool in the world for making rugs.

PURE SILK

Pure silk is known as the most luxurious material, which is very thin and suitable for making very small and dense patterns. Silk is obtained from the cocoons of silkworms, which, when unwound, produce very long silk fibers. The finest silk comesĀ from China, and we use this to give the ultimate shine and softness for our rugs. It reflects the light and amplifies colour to great intensity.

BAMBOO-SILK

The fastest growing plant on the planet, bamboo is an excellent alternative to traditional silk. The fibres are naturally long and strong and can be spun into a lustrous yarn that has an incredibly soft and tonal finish.

VISCOSE

Known for its silky softness and shine. Viscose, often called artificial silk, is an affordable substitute for pure silk and bamboo-silk. Luxurious and soft underfoot. Although viscose is beautiful, it is delicate and can easily separate. It is not recommended to use in a humid environment as viscose is afraid of liquids and stains.
